Being all different shapes & sizes, it is important to obtain
good measurements of your pet. These dimensions are important for determining the size of crate
required so that your dog will have a comfortable trip.
You will need to measure your dog as follows:
- Length - Tip of nose to base of tail (do not include length of tail)
- Foreleg - Length of foreleg
- Width - Across shoulder (or widest part)
- Height - From ground to top of head (exclude ears)
Please enter these measurements on out
Pet Details page.
Measurements are best taken in a normal / natural standing position.
We don't want your dog to experience any needless discomfort such as cramp,
overheating or stress and accurate measurements from you will help us to work
out the best size cage for your pet.
We recommend that your pet is taken for a brisk walk on the day of departure.
Dehydration can affect your pet in air travel so all cages have a waterbowl.
Shortly before travel Challenge Pet movers will supply water and walk your dog.
Sedation in not recommended and generally not required.
Homeopathic remedies are available if your dog requires calming. If you
should be concerned about your pets reaction to air travel we suggest you
contact your veterinarian to discuss your options.
